You can rent the film on Amazon for as little as £3.49 with Amazon taking a significant percentage. However, if you want to support the project directly you can stream the film through our own streaming service for £6.49 with the proceeds going directly to us.

I carried the majority of the cost of the conversion and making the film on my own shoulders. It is very much a case of stepping out on to a tight rope with no way back and no safety net.

Given the costs involved in converting the boat and making the film it is unlikely that we will ever go in to profit from the film rental charge. This is aimed at lowering my losses rather than profiting. Any money in will be reinvested towards improving the boat and the concept.

The film follows the real-life struggle of converting the UK’s first fishing boat to solar and electric power to fish at a competitive and commercial level.

It's set on Scotland’s West coast in the scenic and alluring Argyll village of Tayvallich. Over the course of almost a year it runs with the highs, lows and challenges related to the venture as well as the determination and skillset of the builder and skipper.

The young local director Joe Osborn has skilfully engrained the seasonal moods, the strong local community spirit and the Argyll way of doing things into a compelling story of our times. One fisherman’s conviction towards the carbon free future we all need to embrace. A small film, but a powerful one.
